Work Life Balance
Back-to-school season isn’t just an adjustment for kids.
For many parents, September means a return to packed calendars, earlier mornings, school drop-offs, practices, homework, work deadlines and the constant mental checklist running in the background.
When life gets this full, it’s easy to assume exhaustion simply means you’re doing too much.
But burnout can be more complicated than the number of things on your calendar. A lack of control, difficulty setting boundaries, workplace dynamics, and never truly having an opportunity to switch off can all contribute.
As routines shift this fall, it may be worth asking: What is actually draining me and what can I change?
Therapy can provide space to understand what’s driving that exhaustion, identify patterns, and develop healthier boundaries around work and life.
